Construction of the proposed works is being coordinated with other works in the Highway 417 corridor which were subject to separate Detail Design and EA Studies. - Operational improvements at the Highway 417 Bronson Avenue interchange (WP 4089-07-01 - Detail Design and EA Study is ongoing):
- Modifications to the eastbound off-ramp at Bronson Avenue to lengthen the ramp and provide additional vehicle storage;
- Local realignment of Chamberlain Avenue to the north, to be opposite the eastbound off-ramp;
- Intersection improvements at Bronson Avenue and Chamberlain Avenue; and
- Related works, including: noise barriers on the south side of the highway along the eastbound off-ramp, from Booth Street to Cambridge Street, and from the east side of Bronson Avenue to Glendale Avenue; retaining walls; drainage; illumination; utility relocations; traffic signal modifications; roadside protection; and landscaping, as required.
- Noise barrier retrofits (WP 4088-07-01 - Detail Design and EA Study completed and received environmental clearance in April 2016):
- On the south side of the highway, from east of the O-Train corridor, across the Preston Street Overpass to the midpoint of the eastbound off-ramp to Rochester Street;
- On the north side of the highway, from west of Bronson Avenue, across the Bronson Avenue Overpass to the bullnose of the westbound off-ramp to Bronson Avenue; and
- On the north side of the highway, along the westbound off-ramp to Bronson Avenue, across the Percy Street Overpass to the Lyon Street westbound on-ramp.
